NHL Betting – Philadelphia Tries to Make History in Boston
The Philadelphia Flyers will try to equal the accomplishments of the 1942 Toronto Maple Leafs and the 1975 New York Islanders who were the only teams in NHL history to come back from a 3-0 series deficit. The NHL Betting lines have been set and surprisingly the Bruins are still favoured. Game 7 goes Friday night with the pressure squarely on the Boston Bruins. hiladelphia Flyers @ Boston Bruins

Series tied 3-3
Philadelphia Flyers: +105
The Philadelphia Flyers have done what only a handful of teams have ever done – force a Game 7 after being down 3-0 in a playoff series. With three wins in a row, including a win in Boston in Game 5, the Flyers clearly have the momentum going into what could be a historic evening.
The Flyers know that they will not have to score a lot of goals to defeat the 30th ranked offense of the Boston Bruins and they have certainly proven capable of netting the necessary goals against the number two ranked goals against average team.
Mike Richards, despite being matched up against the beast Zdeno Chara has been enormous for the Flyers especially considering the Flyers were without Simone Gagne and Jeff carter for the majority of the series. His clutch contributions have seen him in on five of the seven winning goals that the Flyers have in the post season. The return of Simone Gagne and the re-emergence of Daniele Briere, there is plenty to be excited about if you are a Flyers fan.
The Flyers are using their seventh goaltender of the season! Seventh! It’s is a good thing that Michael Leighton was activated from the injured list the very same game that Brian Boucher went down with a season ending knee injury. Leighton was one minute away from a shutout in Game 6 and that combine with his 14 save zero goal effort in Game 5 is proof that the Flyers will be fine in goal.
The Hockey Gods are smiling on Philadelphia right now. They will be tough to handle a Game 7 in which the pressure is squarely on the other team.
Puckline: Philadelphia: +1.5 (-280): Boston: -1.5 (240)
Boston Bruins: -125
The Boston Bruins are in a slump! The Boston Bruins are no strangers to slumps. They endured an 11 game losing streak to begin 2010 and suffered a couple of other prolonged periods in which they couldn’t score. When things are good, they are great. When things are going badly, the team looks horrendous.
The Bruins three game losing streak has coincided with the offense falling into a much too familiar pattern. The Bruins had the 30th ranked offense during the regular season but looked like they shed their woes in the post season. Boston was shut out in Game 5 and if it wasn’t for a last minute goal by Milan Lucic in Game 6, they would have been held scoreless once again. Miroslav Satan and Patrice Bergeron have all but disappeared for the Bruins – not a good sign.
Philadelphia’s Mike Richards has gotten the best of his match-up with Zdeno Chara in this series. Although the results did not come in the form of wins early on, Richards’ work is finally paying off. If, and that’s a big if Chara can shut down Richards in Game 7, the Bruins will be forced to manage Ville Leino and Simone Gagne who have proven dangerous in their own rights.Tuukka Rask is still Boston’s MVP in the playoffs. He made another 29 saves in Game 6. If the Bruins win Game 7, it will be because of him. If they lose, I assure you that it won’t be his fault.
The Philadelphia Flyers can do no wrong at the moment while the Bruins can seemingly do no right. With Boston’s lack of offense, they are the team with the most to fear going into Game 7. I disagree with the NHL Betting lines. Phili. makes history on Friday night!
